All the drivers registered in the TGR Iberian Cup will take part on Saturday, December 17 at the Jarama Circuit.
The Madrid RACE Rallyshow will close what has been the first edition of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup. As set in the calendar, in addition to the eight scoring races that have been held throughout the year, the drivers registered in the Cup must also compete in this event, although it is not scoring for the overall classification.
Therefore, it will be an incentive to see a head to head battle between the first four classified of the Cup, after having played the title in the last event -the Rally Viana do Castelo-. Finally, the title was won by Sergi Francolí (CSM Automoció), who was only 3 points ahead of the Portuguese driver Miguel Campos (Inside Motor), something that shows that the whole season has been evenly matched.
Ricardo Costa (Macedo & Macedo GTW Racing), third in the championship and who was also playing for the title until the last stage, and Dani Berdomás (Grupo Breogán), one of the fastest and most spectacular drivers of the year.
Víctor Calisto (Inside Motor), Fran Cima (Asturhíbrido), Rubén Muñoz (CSM Automoció) and the young Oriol Comabella (Team's Motor), will be present with their respective vehicles and with the clear intention to finish the year on the podium.
This race, which will be held at the Madrid’s Jarama Circuit, is a great show and a challenge for the drivers. For the first time they will compete head to head, on a mixed track designed for the occasion, with a gravel and a tarmac area. The teams participating in the single-brand cup organized by Toyota Spain, Toyota Caetano Portugal and MSI are therefore obliged to use the gravel configuration on their Toyota GR Yaris.
After the reconnaissance, the drivers will compete one by one in a timed leg, called SCRATCH, to thus establish the table that will lead to the phase of the ELIMINATION rounds, until the GRAND FINAL which establishes the winner.
The Rallyshow Comunidad de Madrid RACE will be held in the stadium area of the Madrid's Circuito del Jarama. The famous Le Mans, Farina and Pegaso curves are found there, so the spectators will have plenty of space to enjoy the competition.
The activity on the track will start on Saturday the 17th at 10.00 am and will finish at 15.00 pm. The fans will not only enjoy the highly competitive and spectacular Toyota GR Yaris in action, but also other vehicles that have competed in the Spanish Rally Superchampionship.
